Born in Argentina, EZEQUIEL SCAGNETTI began his career of photoreporter in Patagonia in 1994. His pictures are published by the Argentinian press. In 2001, Spain is his first port of call in Europe. But it is Brussels he chooses as base in 2002, where he collaborates as a freelance with Belgian agencies. Since then, he crossed more than 40 countries and 150 cities returning with reports of current events, society and travel.

His pictures are published in the European daily press and weekly magazines as he works regularly with Reuters, Expresso, Reporters, Voyages Voyages, Voyageur, Belga Photo Agnecy, Gran Angular, In-Vision Images, EK Pictures, Only-images, among others.
Ezequiel speaks fluent Spanish and French and has a good command of English.

1994-2001: Freelance photojournalist based in Patagonia, Argentina.

April 2001: Atended a United Nations International Course for War Correspondents in CAECOPAZ (Centro Argentino de Entrenamiento Conjunto para Operaciones de Paz) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

2001-2002: Moves to Europe. Studies French.

April 2004: Photo exhibition for the Enlargement of the European Community - Portraits of the 10 new EU Commissioners exhibited at the EU Commission headquarters. (Joint exposition with photographers of Reporters Photo Agency)

Dec. 2004: Coverage of the Tsunami aftermath in Sri Lanka and the Andaman Islands.

Apr. 2005: Coverage of the death and funeral of Pope Jean-Paul II

July 2005: Coverage of the terrorist attacks in London, UK

Nov 2005: Makes official portrait of the President of the European Commission, Jose M. Barroso.

Jun 2008: Reportage “Egypt: Tradesman of Cairo”

Jul 2008: After being contacted by the Dutch Burma Fund (www.birmafonds.nl) Ezequiel donated pictures of his Burma reportage to this NGO.

Sep 2008: Photo exhibition at I.H.E.C.S.  (Institut des Hautes Etudes des Communications Sociales) in Brussels: “Separatism, fascism and extreme right” organized by Resistences.be, Communauté française de Belgique and PAC organization.

Dec 2008: Ezequiel Scagnetti was invited by the I.E.P.S.C.F. school of Namur (Belgium) to give a seminar about photojournalism and his professional career.

Feb 2009: Photo exhibition at Watermael Train Station, Brussels: “Separatism, fascism and extreme right” organized by the PAC organization.

Apr 2009: "Reportage Arabia" in the Arabic gulf.

Jul 2009: Photo Exhibition in Argentina: "Retratos del mundo" at the "Espacio Arte" of Paihuen, San Martin de los Andes, Argentina.

Oct 2009: Photo Exhibition in Argentina: "Retratos del mundo" at the "Antiguo Café Retiro", in Retiro Ttrain station, Buenos AIres, Argentina.

Apr 2010: Photo Exhibition in Paris: "Images de l'extreme-droite" from 28 April to 9 May 2010. Conference on 4 May at 5:30pm in the Cité Nationale de l'histoire de l'immigration.

Jul 2010: Photo Exhibition in Argentina: "Retratos del Mundo" at Espacio Arte, Aeroparque (Jorge Newbery airport) - Buenos Aires.
