European Union Chief Observer Louis Michel meets Bert Koenders, UN Secretary General's representative in Mali and head of MINUSMA.
Presidential elections where held in Mali on 28 July 2013, with a second round run-off planned for 11 August if required.
The European Union, in response to an invitation by the authorities of the Malian Republic, is deploying a mission to observe the Presidential Election on 28th of July 2013.
